Building Plan Review

The m6 team is well versed in addressing projects combining difficult site and soil characteristics, sophisticated architecture, and planning requirements as well as high owner expectations. These plans can lead to complex structural designs in new and existing buildings. These designs require careful and detailed review for errors of commission, as well as visualizing and articulating errors of omission. Our review staff commonly conducts preliminary design meetings with applicants and their architects to discuss the integration of desired architecture with the requirements of exiting, fire protection and structural design. These types of meetings are essential as they allow reviewer input in the building planning process, which in turn informs the design decision making process.
